What is Mindfulness?

Who should attend? Best suited for participants who want assistive strategies for emotional regulation.

Why practice Mindfulness? When we practice mindfulness, we’re practicing the art of creating space for ourselves—space to think, space to breathe, space between ourselves and our reactions. It's good for you. When we’re mindful, we reduce stress, enhance performance, gain insight and awareness through observing our own mind, and increase our attention to others’ well-being.

How can I achieve a State of Mindfulness? It’s all about returning your attention again and again to the present moment. Meditation, Yoga and Breathing are just some techniques that will assist in achieving a mindful state.

Days and Times:

Mondays - 5:30pm - 6:30pm - - Best for young adults

Saturdays - 11:30am - 12:30pm - - Best for children aged 10 - 15 years old

It's a state of mind. Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.
